So when I got back to my apartment at 1:45 a.m. Monday night/Tuesday morning, I found waiting for me a notice saying that I haven't paid my water bill, I owe the company $26.47, and that because I didn't pay the water bill, I am in violation of my lease and could therefore be kicked out of my apartment. This is not what you want to see after being away from home and in your 23rd hour of being awake.
Luckily I had just received my bank statement, showing that I had, indeed, paid my water bill in full each month. So this morning I called the property manager of my apartment complex. I get into an explanation of how I had gotten this notice about not paying my bill, and she goes, "Oh, you received that in error. Please disregard it. Sorry." My question: Was she going to tell me about this, or simply hope that I would call up? Argh.
Anyway, prayers for Steve, whose IM connection at work is on the blink. Let's hope it improves, because it would suck if he can't stay on. I don't want to have to do work! ;)
