How excited am I right now? I am positively giddy. Which is a good thing, because it’s keeping me awake and alert. You know, normally I would be like, “Man, I wish it was this time last week,” because this time last week I was on my way to Ohio and would be seeing Paul McCartney and hanging out with my sister and her husband. Now don’t get me wrong. The concert? Kicked ass. Hanging out with Kathy and Robert was fantastic. I had a wonderful weekend; very relaxing and nice.
It’s just that I’m so excited for events coming up that for once I’m not living in the past. I’m insanely excited for this weekend. Becca flies in tonight, and going to Gettysburg is going to be so much fun. Then next weekend I actually have some down time (the first weekend in a while to relax at home), but it also includes seeing Man of La Mancha. My birthday is approaching rapidly, which will be fun (and the debate rages: where to go for dinner?). And then, I’m going to see Les Mis on Broadway! Woo! I haven’t seen it on Broadway since the first *cough* two times I saw it, back in 1994. Sad that it’s closing, but excited to go up and see it in the Imperial again. And many thanks to Denise and Spike for offering to put me up at their place.
And as if all that weren’t enough, there’s the big Scotland trip at the end of the year! And the fact that my copyediting class, which I thought ended October 30, in fact ends October 23. Yay! Now I just have to control my enthusiasm for the next 7 hours and 23 minutes.
Current song in my head:
