Last week’s Friday Five
1. How many TVs do you have in your home? Four, but only one of them is mine.
2. On average, how much TV do you watch in a week? Um, that really depends on the weekend. Weeknights, I’ll probably watch 2-3 hours of tv. On weekends it varies incredibly (some weekends, all I do is watch tv; others, I don’t watch much at all). So maybe, 30-40.
3. Do you feel that television is bad for young children? No. Like most things, moderation is necessary. Parents just need to monitor what their kids are watching, and try to get the kids outside and stuff.
4. What TV shows do you absolutely HAVE to watch, and if you miss them, you're heartbroken? Alias, Buffy, Smallville, The West Wing, The Amazing Race, and to a lesser extent, Friends, Scrubs, and Will & Grace.
5. If you had the power to create your own television network, what would your line-up look like? Well, there’d be a lot of 80s television shows (Family Ties, The Greatest American Hero, MacGyver, The Muppet Show). The shows listed above. Probably things like The Simpsons and Saved By the Bell. Miniseries like Horatio Hornblower and North and South. I don’t know. It would be varied. Obviously.
