It’s definitely fall now. When I get up and go to work in the morning, there’s quite a chill in the air. This morning I could even see my breath. True, by afternoon it’s comfortable out, but in the morning I flirt with the idea of wearing a jacket. On Saturday, I wore shorts, and that night I was out with the back windows open and there came that fall smell—a kind of smoky smell that makes me think of trick-or-treating and camping. It was kind of odd, driving along, in my shorts, but completely feeling like it was fall. Of course, on the way back I didn’t get that feeling, mostly because I was carting along Chinese food, which overpowered the fall smell.
