Happy birthday Colin! My little

Happy birthday Colin! My little kitty cat is now 1 year old (or so; I estimated his birthday). So now I've gone through all of the pictures I took of him and dang, he was teensy tiny when I first got him. But at least he's mellowing out. He still bites and all, but not as much, which is encouraging.

In other news, congrats to the American League for winning the All-Star Game. I got far too much joy from watching Roger Clemens give up 6 runs in the first inning. Hey Clemens, you suck! It was also nice to see Miggy win the Home Run Derby on Monday.

I have also been managing to catch bits of I Love the 90s (though not much last night, what with The Amazing Race and Big Brother being on). I still feel that I Love the 80s and I Love the 80s Strikes Back have been the most successful of those series. First of all, they didn't have the stupid dancing baby all over the place. And I think it just worked better--perhaps the commentators were the right age at the time (they were too young in the 70s--most noted that they were infants for the early 70s; and the 90s didn't have a formative influence on them). I don't know. And it's going to be really weird once they get into the late 90s; I mean, that was only 5 years ago. Ah well.

Current song in my head:
"Sixteen Candles" by the Crests
