Photographic evidence

Dave has helpfully emailed the pictures to me, so we can prove that we did have fantastic seats. He also pointed out that I somehow managed to forget that we also got a game ball. At one point, it just came rolling over the dugout toward us. It even says "Nationals Inaugural Season" on it. It rocks.

OK, pictures.

Frank and the field.jpg

Here's Frank Robinson, watching the game progressing.

Ryan Church.jpg

This is Ryan Church, who Dave apparently likes, after an at-bat. Church is the left fielder. He went 1-4 (a double), with a walk, a run, and an RBI.

James Carville.jpg

And our buddy, James Carville. You can see that's me next to him. Very nice guy, and apparently he was Bill Clinton's campaign manager in 1992. Huh. Thanks again for the peanuts, James!

The pics are not actually too shabbby given that they were taken with a camera phone... Hmm, I might actually be re-thinking my aversion to cameras on phones.

... And actually, I believe it's Ryan Church after scoring his run.

I thought you took the picture later in the game (he scored in the 6th), but I could be wrong.

Sixth seems about right... that's about when I took the first round of pics (including the other two here). The ones later were of Loiza in the dugout and Johnson in the on-deck circle (which I have not sent b/c they're not as exciting).

Anyhow, if it's not Church, then it's someone who scored a run b/c I remember clicking it as someone ran in from scroing... Now, given that they scored elventy-billion runs in that game, this fact really doens't help to narrow it down.
