The Non-Producers

It's always important to keep a sense of humor. And I must admit that this musical version of the O's 2005 season made me laugh. The highlight, clearly, is Brian's song:

As the lights come up, we see the team's handsome hero, Brian Roberts - the Prince of Baltimore - standing at his locker (shirtless, of course), surrounded by reporters. Hey kid, asks one pear-shaped sportswriter, you're the toast of the town. Men want to be you, and women want to be with you. Give us a quote, give us a sound bite, tell us how it feels, my man!

Naturally, there's a bit more than that. I also like

The fans are convinced that Ponson looks thinner, that Rafael Palmeiro looks younger and that if everyone stays healthy, the team just might make a run at third place.

It's not a pipe dream! We finished in third last year!

Anyway, heh. And opening day is just six months away.
