Bless your heart, Miggy

It's sad how happy I got when I saw this report:

BALTIMORE -- Miguel Tejada backpedaled on Sunday, telling Comcast SportsNet that he didn't ask for a trade but simply wanted to see the Orioles make more of an effort to improve.

"I never said I wanted to be traded," Tejada said in a talk with CSN reporter Kelli Johnson. "I said I want to see a better team. I don't want to keep losing like we have the past two years."

Tejada asking to leave Baltimore has been the talk of the town since he told an Associated Press reporter Thursday that the best thing for him could be a "change of scenery."

Now I have to go to the CSN website and see if the video is there.

...

It's not, but the story there did include this:

Tejada also told Kelli Johnson that he has recently spoke with Baltimore second baseman Brian Roberts about how the rehab is going on his injured elbow. Tejada said that Roberts told him he is doing well and should be ready to go by opening day.

Awww! I mean, yay, good news, but that's cute that they talked recently. Baseball boys are SO cute.

Hi Barbie -- Even if the cute boys of baseball smoke mary jane's, don't do it! It will only get you to the rehabs, hand it to Edgar. (My grandson plays baseball, maybe you think he's "SO cute" too and you can go out!!!)

Hey Barb, This is comin' from nowhere, but do you still see those twins you used to live with? I've read your blog archives, and they used to figure prominently, but I haven't heard about them lately. Hope all's OK.

Ducky, no, I don't see them anymore--haven't in almost a year.

don't mean to be a buttinsky, but i couldn't help overhear ;)
isn't it strange how we lose touch with people we used to see every day?
senior year of college, i shared a quad (crazy seniors, right?) with three transfer students, and i constantly wonder what became of those three other gals.
did binesh have to marry that guy her parents picked out?
did jules get her braces off (probably, right?)?
did nesheera put down her bong long enough to finally get a degree?
i guess i'll never know . . .

There are so many directions I could go here... but I'll refrain.
