It's been a pretty crazy week, and this weekend has been a really good remedy. I didn't spend much of last weekend at home, and what I did spend at home was spent proofreading. I went to two O's games, both of which were fun (even if one was a loss that was only attended by 5 other people), but still...not at home. On Wednesday I found a new apartment, which I am very excited about. It's in Takoma Park and is decently priced for a nice one bedroom. Of course, now I just want to be there already--skip all the intermediate steps. Even if it means sitting in the apartment surrounded by boxes, that's fine. I just want to get there. But a month from now, I should at least have the keys.
I also finally got my driver side mirror fixed. It's been broken since February, and I had basically gotten used to it. But wow! Having a nonbroken mirror is awesome! I'm going to go out on a limb and say they should put those on all cars, because it's really, really handy.
Anyway, so I had a nice weekend. Spending time with friends, napping Saturday afternoon guilt-free (thanks, rain!), giving a First Ladies tour to a group that seemed interested (and one lady who refused to believe that the dresses hadn't been altered). Very relaxing, very restful. Beauty.
Current song in my head:
My tap routine. Not the song, but the routine. My mind is going, "Shuffle ball, ball chain; shuffle ball, ball chain; shuffle ball, ball chain; shuffle ball, ball chain"
Nice blog, good info. KaylaX
