Today was Opening Day for the Nationals--their first home game of the season. I guess I'm spoiled by the O's having their Opening Day as the first game of the season for the past few seasons. It just seems weird to have Opening Day be this far into the season (you know--a week in). Part of the beauty of Opening Day is that it's a clean slate; everything is optimism and sunshine and puppies. It has to be hard on a team to start the season away; it has to be hard on fans to have an Opening Day when your team is already 2-4.
