Apartment notes

In my old apartment, we had a balcony with a sliding glass door that led out to it. Colin loved that door. He would sit in front of it and watch for loooong stretches of time. I don't have a balcony, or sliding glass door, in my new apartment. My bedroom is set up in such a way that he can lie on my bed and look into the backyard.

I didn't think that was enough. So I went out and got a cat perch to attach to a window in the living room. And unlike most things I buy him, he loved it immediately. Which makes me insanely happy. Plus, he's super-cute when he's lying on it. Though it was a bit odd this morning when I left, because I glanced up at my window and there he was, peering down on me.

The complete bareness of my walls finally got to me last weekend, so I determined that I'd actually put stuff up this weekend. So far...I took the paper off a couple of my prints. And I realized that I really, really need to dust. Blech.

Current song in my head:
"Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel
