Indy vs. Bond

I loved The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles when it aired in the early 90s. So good! I was totally in love with Sean Patrick Flanery. Anyway, I noticed that a couple of channels have been airing it again. I usually catch the last few minutes of it on Saturday mornings (my love is not enough to get me up at 8 to watch the whole thing). So this morning I turned it on and found myself watching a fight between Indy and James Bond. Well, Daniel Craig, anyway. And it was an awesome fight. We’re talking busting-through-doors, falling-down-stairs good. I’m sure Craig looks back with pride.

I’ve heard both terms bandied about, but I prefer “Potomac Primary” to “Chesapeake Primary.” What can I say? I’m a sucker for alliteration.

What with the awesome Colbert-O’Brien-Stewart feud, I didn’t think I could love Jon Stewart any more than I already did.
I was wrong.

The weather was lovely on Saturday, so I headed downtown to check out the exhibit of American Treasures at the Air & Space Museum. It closes in April, and as a docent at the Museum of American History, I thought it’d be a good idea to see it. And while I was down there, why not stop at the National Portrait Gallery and check out the Stephen Colbert portrait?

There was a line and a camera crew. Still, pretty awesome. I was also psyched because the exhibit of WWI posters was still open; I’d thought it closed. All around, yay!

I’m feeling lucky! *wink*

At our monthly all-staff meeting, my current place of employment, in addition to awesomely having cake to celebrate that month’s birthdays, acknowledges people’s anniversaries. The weird thing is, you get a certificate every year. (And you have your picture taken with the president of the association.) That just seems like a bit much. One year doesn’t really seem that significant. I feel like maybe every 5 years should be acknowledged. Besides, sitting there for that part of the meeting gets kind of boring.
Needless to say, I opted out of being acknowledged at February’s meeting.
