It’d be like a dream come true

I was watching Brian Williams’s report on China this evening and he said something that totally makes me want to live in China. Sure, there’s a downside, but…well, let’s just make a list.
Cons: Communism, repressive goverment, lack of religious freedom, don’t speak the language, required conformity, inhibited Internet searchability
Pro: Get to wear pajamas all day!
It’s a tough one.
…And happy birthday, Becca!

And despite all the tv, I watched very little of the Olympics

I had plans for today. I was going to go down to the Holocaust Museum and check out its exhibit on the 1936 Olympics, which closes later this month. But when I woke up this morning, it was a bit gray outside, and after lounging around for a while, I decided to put it off. I have Smithsonian training later this month, so I’ll already be down there…it’s perfect! I may also try to throw in a tour of Arlington Cemetery.
Really, it was that I hadn’t had an open weekend in a while–I was in Oregon for the past two weeks, and my sister and her family visited the weekend before. This weekend has been very pleasant; baseball game on Friday night, lunch and movies yesterday. But sometimes, you just want to wear pajamas and watch television. So even though I probably should’ve at least gone to the Y, staying in my pjs is exactly what I did.

Pictures and moving pictures!
