Barb’s Burblings

I was walking from the busstop to my apartment this afternoon and wound up waiting for a train to pass by, as the bus I generally take in the afternoon drops me off on the far side of the train tracks from my apartment. (You can decide for yourself whether I live on the right or the wrong side of the tracks. FWIW, the bus I generally take in the morning does not require me to cross the train tracks.) Anyway, so I just leaned up against the fence, waiting for the train to continue its exciting journey to Frederick. There was a guy who looked about my age, also waiting for the train to go by. The train started up again, and I started walking. The guy looks at me and says, “Don’t fall in love with someone you can’t have.”

Right. OK. Will do, sir.
